APECGH Women's heart initiative (WHHI)
WHHI is a new initiative by APEC GHANA. The goal is to address postpartum cardiovascular health of women who survive traumatic pregnancies. This can be the ressult of complications such as preeclampsia and its related conditions.

to Determine how a pregnancy is managed
The Blood Pressure (BP) values determine how a pregnancy is managed. It also informs the timing of delivery and may signal potential risks
to avoid unnecessary compliations
For an expecting mum it is recommended to monitor BP values to avoid any unneccesary complications e.g. Preeclampsia
the lack of necessary resources
The problem is that a vast amount of local health care providers often lack the necessary resources. This can result in a late diagnosis of Preeclampsia which puts both mother and child at risk.
With a significant donation of Ghc 150 or more, you can make a big difference! With the 1Woman 1BPM initiative we aim to overcome all this by raising funds to purchase 500 BPM & Proteinuria Kits. This way we supply hospitals in Central, Western/Bono regions of Ghana.
