Theme: “Research, Policy and Religion: The potential role of multisectorial collaboration to improve outcomes of Hypertensive Disorders of Pregnancy in Ghana”

Symposium objectives

The objective(s) for this year’s symposium are to:

  1. Discuss ways in which multisectorial collaboration between research, policy and religion can contribute to better maternal and perinatal health outcomes for women with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy;
  2. Determine low hanging fruit opportunities to strengthen multisectorial collaboration between research, policy and religion to improve maternal and perinatal health outcomes for women with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy;
  3. Identify barriers and enablers for multisectorial collaboration between healthcare professionals, policy makers and religious healers;
  4. Identify research or knowledge gaps about multisectorial collaboration;
  5. Discuss the improved ways in the management of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy before, during and after pregnancy in the context of multi-sectorial collaboration.
