Theme: “Research, Policy and Religion: The potential role of multisectorial collaboration to improve outcomes of Hypertensive Disorders of Pregnancy in Ghana”
Symposium objectives
The objective(s) for this year’s symposium are to:
Discuss ways in which multisectorial collaboration between research, policy and religion can contribute to better maternal and perinatal health outcomes for women with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy;
Determine low hanging fruit opportunities to strengthen multisectorial collaboration between research, policy and religion to improve maternal and perinatal health outcomes for women with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy;
Identify barriers and enablers for multisectorial collaboration between healthcare professionals, policy makers and religious healers;
Identify research or knowledge gaps about multisectorial collaboration;
Discuss the improved ways in the management of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy before, during and after pregnancy in the context of multi-sectorial collaboration.
